Scottish Rugby Union chief executive Gordon McKie has rubbished reports linking him with a similar role at Rangers.

McKie has been mooted as a possible successor to Martin Bain, should the current Ibrox chief step down amid the club's current financial plight.

But McKie told BBC Scotland he had no interest in leaving the SRU, adding: "I can categorically say that there's been no approach from them or by me."
